Assonet- Sharon Ann (Morais) Kaminski, age 61, of Assonet peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Bedford, MA she was the beloved daughter of George Gonsalves Morais and Eva Rose (Monteiro) Morais.
Sharon was born an artist on October 17, 1958 and remained that way during every step of her life. Her creativity, ingenuity and talent were limitless. Whether making crafts, refinishing furniture, painting murals or building and painting set designs for Edaville Railroad, dance recitals and corporate parties, she was always busy creating something.
She was truly one of a kind. With her free spirit, sense of humor and a smile that could light up any room she made friends everywhere she went. She was beyond selfless and her kind heart touched so many lives. In all of her years, no matter what she was going through, everyone else always came first. From home cooked meals to little treats, or a present that came with a story, she always took the time to make those around her feel loved.
Spending time with her family, children and grandchildren and was her greatest joy. She was a devoted mother who loved her two children unconditionally. She was overjoyed to become a grandmother twice. Her grandsons meant the world to her.
Sharon was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend and will be dearly missed by all. She is survived by her son, Mark Kaminski and his wife Kimberly Otis, her daughter, Kara Kaminski and her husband Edward Foster; two grandsons, Kade and Kaine Kaminski; granddog Luna; parents, George and Eva Morais; sister, Diane Nanfelt and her husband Jeff Nanfelt; brother, Michael Morais and his wife Stephanie Morais and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a celebration of her life on Saturday, September 26th from 2:00-4:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford, MA 02740.
All attendees are required by current mandated restrictions to wear a face covering and to practice social distancing of 6 feet. Attendance will be limited in order to meet the mandated capacity restrictions.
