Edward J. Broderick, Sr, 82, of Derry, NH passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020 in the Pleasant Valley Nursing Home in Derry. He was born on April 10, 1938 in Charlestown, MA, a son of the late Joseph and Eleanor (Donovan) Broderick. Edward was a resident of Derry for many years, formerly living in Raymond. He was employed by Sanders Associate in Nashua for many years and more recently, he worked for Derry Auto Parts as a delivery driver. Edward was a drummer, who enjoyed playing music and collecting record albums. He also enjoyed building and painting model airplanes and loved to watch sports. He was a former usher at St Thomas Aquinas Parish in Derry.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Mary (Defrancesco) Broderick of Derry, one son, Edward J. Broderick Jr of Londonderry, one daughter Sharon Broderick of Derry, three grandchildren, Michael Broderick and Shawn Broderick, both of Londonderry, Brian Broderick of Florida; one sister, Sheila Perino, Belmont, MA as well as several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. Graveside services were held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 1:00pm in the Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry. Due to State of NH guidelines, all guests are required to wear masks, minimize contact and maintain social distancing. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to the animal humane society of one’s choice. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry assisted the family with arrangements.
