ANTHONY DECICCO, SR., 90, died Monday, August 31, 2020.
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Patriarch of the DeCicco Family.
Anthony passed at home peacefully with family at his side. He was the precious husband of Evelyn(Waddington) DeCicco for sixty-four years.
He was the proud son of Pasco DeCicco , immigrant from Compo Baso, Italy and Rose Capaldi DeCicco .
He was brought up in a very poor neighborhood, Smith Hill section of Providence, mostly immigrants, but very loving family that worked very hard to survive. Besides his late mother and father, he was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Malanowski, Lena DeCicco and Filomena Augemma. He was the third child and the first son. He had two brothers, the late Pasco and Raymond DeCicco.
He was preceded in death by a beautiful baby girl named Mary in 1956. He leaves behind his daughters, Blanche Gold of Glocester, RI and Rebecca DeCicco of Douglas Ma., and his son Anthony Jr. all of whom he treasured.
He is survived by grandchildren: Anthony DeCicco III and wife Liz, Jeffrey Gold II, Joshua Gold and wife, Nicole, Jessica and James Gianakis, and nine great grandchildren.
He was the original founder and president of Anthony’s Building Company since 1962 originally of Smithfield.
He was a Navy veteran of the Korean conflict era.
His funeral was private due to the Covid 19. His burial was in Acotes Cemetery.
In his memory, his wish was that you do a good deed and love one another.
