Mildred Rose (Ferrera) Lodin, 74, of Franklin died August 31 at home following a long illness. .
Born in Cambridge, October 19,1945, the daughter of the late and Theresa(DeGaudio) Ferrera , Mildred had spent over 50 years as a licensed hairdresser.
She also took care of the elderly in nursing homes doing their hair there.
She loved to tell jokes and gamble more than life itself and was lucky to have great family and friends.
She is survived by her sister Patty Buontempo of Revere.
She was the wife of the late Clifton Ammidown and her sister Frances DiPlatzi.
She is also survived by her nephews Michael DiPlatzi of North Reading and Anthony Buontempo of Revere.
The family would like to thank Dan Tossi who took care of Mildred until the very end.
Her funeral services will be private.
