Sullivan, MO
Patricia T. (Talbot) Burke, 76, of Sullivan< Mo. passed away Friday, August 28, 2020 at SSM Health St. Clare-Fenton. She was united in marriage to Philip Alan Burke on October 3, 1965 and were blessed with two daughters, Sharon and Kelley.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Arthur J. and Leona (Simard) Talbot. Patricia received her Associate of Arts Degree from East Central College in Union, Mo and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology (Magna Cum Laude) from UMR and a Teaching certificate in Social Studies from UMSL. She was employed as a social studies teacher for the Bourbon School District and then as a paraprofessional at Sullivan High School for twenty years.
Pat was very active in her community and St. Anthony Catholic Church where she served on the school board. She also served as President of the Jaycee’s in the 1970’s and as President of the Business and Professional Womens’s Association. She was a co-founder of the Sullivan Encore Music Assoc., co-coached softball and delivered Meals on Wheels up until recently.
Pat is survived by husband of 54 years Philip of Sullivan, two daughters, Sharon Nauman and husband John of O’Fallon, MO and Kelley Burke and companion Joe Roberson of Sullivan, two grandchildren, Zachary & Nicholas Nauman both of O’Fallon, a brother, Arthur ‘Buddy’ Talbot and wife Carol of Marblehead,MA, a sister, Linda Peterson and husband Don of Lady Lake, FL as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
