Jo-Elizabeth (Comstock) Fontaine, 74, of E. Freetown, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was the wife of Raymond A. Fontaine, Sr.
Born in Westport, daughter of the late Elbert A. and Alice A. (Bowers) Comstock, she had lived in Florida for 20 years and prior to that she had lived in Westport and Swansea. She will be remembered for how kind, caring and thoughtful she was and it brought her much joy to be with her family and friends. Mrs. Fontaine enjoyed crocheting afghans and donating them to people in need, they were affectionately known as Bobo Blankets, as she went by Bobo to her grandchildren.
Including her husband, survivors include a son: Raymond A. Fontaine, Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Swansea; 2 daughters: Jody F. Soares and her husband Joseph of E. Freetown and Rebecca J. Brodeur and her husband William of Swansea; a brother: Lynwood Comstock of Westport; a sister: Dawn Clarke of Westport; 8 grandchildren: Crystal Laliberte, Amber Pherber, Joanna-Marie Soares, Eric Soares, Dalton Fontaine, Shelby Fontaine, William Brodeur, Jr., and Daniel Brodeur; 2 great grandchildren: Nora Elizabeth Soares and Nolan Laliberte; and several nieces and nephews.
She was sister of the late Robert Comstock and Faith Comstock.
Memorial Visitation to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at the Potter Funeral Home from 5 -7 P.M.
Private Celebration of Life will be held with burial to follow at Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
