Brenda Jean Nichols, 72, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at her son’s residence in Abbeville, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, September 12, 2020, in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Dewain Joiner officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the Paulk Funeral Home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Nichols was born September 11, 1947, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Ward & Lillian Posey King. She was a CNA at the Fitzgerald Nursing Home. Mrs. Nichols attended the Fitzgerald Church of God.
She is survived by her children: Linda Clements of Fitzgerald, Jimmy Ray Nichols, Jr. & Michelle of Abbeville, Christopher Ray Nichols of Fitzgerald and Barbara Hodge & Cassie of Gainesville; grandchildren: Hannah Rae Montgomery, Latosha Clements, Joyce Bryant, Christina Larae Nichols, Cameron Nichols and Anthony Cheatham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Ray Nichols; a grandson, Michael Hodge and two brothers: Allen King and Vernon Posey.
