Parkouhi passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on September 8, 2020. Born on October 26, 1927 in the village of Gardabad in Urmieh, Iran to the late Alec and Mervat Gasparian . She was the youngest of 7 children. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was devoted to her Christian faith, and a proud Armenian, being a member of the ARS -Leola Sassouni chapter for many years. She is survived by her son Ruben Ghazaryans her daughter Rubina Varjabedian and her husband Kegham, her grandchildren Christopher Ghazaryans, Richard Ghazaryans, and his wife Alleen, and Raffi Varjabedian, and her great-grandchildren Taleen and Melanie Ghazaryans. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends. . At the request of the family, funeral and cemetery arrangements will be private. Federal and State safety guidelines governing COVID 19 will be followed. Social distancing and facemasks will be required for everyone’s safety. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Stephen’s Armenian Church and ARS – Leola Sassouni Chapter.
