Mrs. Susan Ann (Cavanaugh) Mitchell, beloved wife of Edward Francis Mitchell, a lifelong resident of Medford, died at her home, February 17, 2006. She was 52 years old.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 6, 1953, she was a beloved daughter of Ronald J. Cavanaugh of Vermont and the late Carol Ann (O’Keefe) Cavanaugh. Mrs. Mitchell was a longtime manager of Verizon for many years and enjoyed gardening and decorating in her spare time. She was also a long time communicant of St. Raphael Church of Medford.
Besides her beloved husband, Edward, Mrs. Mitchell will be sorely missed by one son Ryan E. Mitchell of Medford; three sisters, Judith M. Cavanaugh of Brighton, Sheila C. and her husband Alan Manditch of Newton, Nancy L. Cavanaugh of Andover; two brothers, Ronald J. Cavanaugh, Jr. of Bradford and Thomas F. and his wife Kellie Cavanaugh of Medford. She was also the loving aunt of Erik and Troy Manditch and Taylor and Jessica Cavanaugh. Susan was also the sister-in-law of Cynthia M. Mitchell of Wakefield and sister of the late Carol Ann Cavanaugh.
Her funeral was from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, Medford, Tuesday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Raphael Church, Medford. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
