George “A. J.” Dierker, Jr., 52, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, September 7, 2020 at his residence.
Memorial services will be held 2 PM, Sunday, September 13, 2020, at 108 Joshlyn Road, Fitzgerald, Georgia, 31750. The family will receive friends Friday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the same address.
Mr. Dierker was born January 10, 1968, in Lafayette, Indiana and raise by the late Dellkay Huxtable Dierker. He had lived in the community for 20 years and was a general manager for Zaxby’s. Mr. Dierker was a loving father, not only to his children but to countless others. He was a member of Dorminy’s Mill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Vicky Bowen Dierker of Irwinville; five children: Amanda Cheek & Cal, Kassandra Dierker, Elizabeth Dierker, Valerie Dierker and Gabrielle Dierker, all of Fitzgerald; five grandchildren: Rylan Cheek, Cotton Cheek, Tyler Williams, Tuff Williams and McKenzie McBryant, all of Fitzgerald; a sister, Tammy Overocker of Champaign, Illinois; two brothers: Delmar Dierker and Ray Wilkerson, both of Baldwin, Florida; a niece Ayla Trujillo ; a nephew Timothy Porotesano, a sister-in-law Beth Bowen and also his first wife, Michele Hodges Maclaury. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Rosalee Wilkerson.
