Worcester: June Bogoian, 88, died on Friday, September 4, 2020 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, death resulted from complications of an Aortic Aneurysm. Her husband of 51 years, George Bogoian, predeceased her in 2008. She leaves 4 children- David Bogoian of Worcester, Christine Bogoian of Worcester, Peter Bogoian of North Stonington, CT., Sarah Bogoian and her husband Michael Mullen of Westborough, MA. and their 3 children, her grandchildren, Michael, Wilhelmina, and Antonia. She also leaves 2 sisters, Bernice Kachadorian and Pearl Arakelian, both of Worcester, and 11 nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her sister Beatrice Toromanian of Worcester.
June was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Mugargitch "Mike" Paloutzian and Rose (Lalaian) Paloutzian, she graduated from Commerce High School, Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing, and earned her Bachelors Degree from Assumption College. She was a member of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Trinity Church in Worcester.
Throughout her life June reminisced about growing up in the close-knit Armenian community of her Chandler Street neighborhood where family and friends were the heart of every-day life. June always valued her experience as a nurse and her lifelong friends and colleagues from Worcester City Hospital where she spent her entire professional career. She had several different roles including "head nurse" on the hospital floor and later, at the School of Nursing, she worked with students in the Student Health Clinic. She remained kind and caring until her last breath.
June will be missed by all who knew her, people were drawn to her because of her kind nature and generous heart.
