Jo Ann (Foster) Ballentine, 90, of Anderson died September 1, 2020 at Community Hospital after a sudden illness.
She was born October 31, 1929 in Anderson, the daughter of Willard Charles and Elizabeth Olene (Evans) Foster. She was Secretary for Anderson Community Schools at Highland High School for many years.
She is survived by her son, William Bradley (Lynn) Ballentine of Pendleton, two grandchildren, Elizabeth Ballentine (Jacob) Lee of Indianapolis and William Andrew (Courtney) Ballentine of Redding, Connecticut; two great-grandchildren, Moira Jo Lee and William Augustus Ballentine ; sister, Janet Hiatt of Muncie.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William E. Ballentine.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Keith Wooden of Ovid Church officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Anderson Animal Protection League or South Madison Community Foundation Pendleton Swim Club.
