Theresa M. Sands, 52, of Derry, NH, passed away peacefully Thursday September 3, 2020 at her home following a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. She was born on July 28, 1968 in Troy, NY, a daughter of Mary (Cloutier) Kozlowski and the late Richard Kozlowski. Theresa worked as a federal employee for the IRS. She loved to watch her daughter compete in gymnastics and play lacrosse and her son play soccer. Theresa’s favorite place to be was their summer camp in Moultonborough, NH. She enjoyed spending time at their camp with all the special friends they had made through the years. Theresa’s family would also like to extend their thanks to all her close friends and co-workers who did so much for her during her illness.
Theresa is survived by her beloved husband of 17 years, Christopher E. Sands, her son, Noah C. Sands and her daughter, Paige E. Sands; her mother, Mary Kozlowski, two brothers, Scott M. Kozlowski and his wife Diana and Brendon Kozlowski; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Maura and John Kelly, Pat and Linda Sands, and Jeff and Nancy Sands; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, A walk-through wake with masks, social distancing and limited interaction with the family, will take place on Friday September 11, 2020 from 5 - 8 PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry.
