Christina “Christy” Boggus O’Berry, 50, of Douglas, Georgia, died Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Sunday, September 6, 2020, at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Philip Corbean officiating. The family will greet friends after the service at the cemetery.
Mrs. O’Berry was born November 17, 1969, in Athens, Georgia, to the late William Stanley “Stan” Boggus & Suzanne McLain Boggus. She was a 1988 graduate of Fitzgerald High School and later attended Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College. She worked in quality control for the mobile home industry. Mrs. O’Berry was an avid Bulldog fan and loved spending time with her son, Tristan. She attended Carver Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Wilson O’Berry of Douglas; two sons, Tristan Wilson O’Berry and Will Haislip; a daughter, Ansley & Josh Bennett; a grandson, Levi Bennett; a brother, William Stanley “Billy” Boggus, Jr. & Cathy of Albany; her best friend, JoShannon Dickson of Adel; her step-mother, Juliana “Julie” Brungardt Boggus of Macclenny, Florida ;as well as a niece and nephews: Will Boggus, Katie Boggus and Jake Boggus. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
