Leonardas “Lenny” Bacevicius of Walpole, passed away suddenly on September 1, 2020.
Lenny is survived by his loving wife Nancy of 34 years, his daughters, Katerina of Burlington, VT and Kima of South Boston, MA and his faithful dog Molly. He is also survived by his beloved sister Sigita Gsell and her husband Eric Gsell of Watertown.
Lenny grew up in Newton, attended Suffolk University, and started a career in real estate. Most recently Lenny worked for the US Census, a position he took much pride in and was happy to be a apart of. He was an avid sportsmen and affiliated with many social clubs including the South Boston Lithuanian Citizens Association as the Vice President, honored as a lifetime member of the North Walpole Fish and Game Club, a member of the Norwood Elks Lodge #1124 and a favorite at the Polish American Citizens Club in Dorchester.
Lenny was a friend to everyone and will be missed by all who knew him. He had a great heart but it just couldn’t keep up with him.
Visitation will be held at Casper Funeral Home at 187 Dorchester St, South Boston, 02127 on Friday, September 4th from 10:00am-12:30pm with a blessing by Father Peter at 10:30am followed by interment with eulogies at New Calvary Cemetery in Forest Hills
The family welcomes all to join in celebrating Lenny at Casper’s as well at the burial. Due to covid-19 restrictions the family is planning to host a memorial mass and celebration of life in 2021.
