Normand Borden, 87, of Swansea, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020. He was the husband of the late Jessie (Flora) Borden and longtime companion of Jeannette B. Ferreira of Swansea.
Mr. Borden was born in Fall River, son of the late Elmer L. and Lillian (Moreau) Borden and had resided in Swansea for several years. A veteran of the Korean War, he served his country in the U.S. Army. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a truck driver. He was a member of the VFW Post 1531, the DAV and the Rod & Gun Club, all of New Bedford. He was a member of the N.R.A. Mr. Borden loved his family and extended family.
Survivors along with his companion include his 2 brothers: Charles W. Borden of NV and Robert Borden of Rockland, MA; 4 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late Anthony P. Borden and Mark Borden and brother of the late Donald Borden, Michael Borden, Rose Marie Polselli, Lorraine Mirra and Norma Vanasse.
