Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Brockton at 9 am. Burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, N. Obituary
Mrs. Nadeau died Monday evening at the Brockton Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Brockton, a daughter of the late Charles J. and Catherine A. (Lucey) Murphy. She was a graduate of Brockton High School and a resident of Brockton until moving to East Bridgewater to make her home with her son. Mrs. Nadeau retired from the Abington National Bank; previously working at Home National Bank in Brockton in the foreign collection department. She had been a longtime member of the Stonehill College Mother’s Guild, Brockton 20th Century Catholic Club, Brockton group of the Red Hat Society. She had been an active member of the Brockton Council on Aging where she loved line dancing and she was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading, the Red Sox and time spent with her grandchildren attending their school and sports events.
She is survived by her two sons, Gerard F. Nadeau and his wife Diane of E. Bridgewater and Thomas W. Nadeau of Walpole, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews
She was the wife of the late Joseph F. "Frank" Nadeau and sister of the late William J. Murphy.
