Teodolinda (Tia) Teixeira (89) of Boston died August 29th under hospice care surrounded by her family. She was the widow of the late Alfredo Teixeira.
She was born in Cacampana, Fogo, Cabo Verde, daughter of the late Joao Alves and Maria Joao Mendes. Tia was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Boston and enjoyed making jewelry, knitting, listing to music, dancing and was known as the “rock” of the family.
Teodolinda is survived by a son Benjamin Teixeira of Taunton, 2 daughters, Maria Joao Teixeira of Taunton and Maria “Lila” Teixeira of Boston, 18 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Friday September 4th at 9 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church, 71 E Main Street Brockton at 10 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton. Visitation in the Funeral Home Thursday September 3rd from 6-9 pm.
