Mrs. Theresa “Gerry” Adair, 88, of Derry, N.H. died Wednesday August 26th. Daughter of the late James and Florence (Marquis) O’Leary, she was born March 13th, 1932, in Lawrence, MA. Gerry graduated for Lawrence High in 1949 and went on to work for the Internal Revenue System for the majority of her lifetime. Gerry married her husband Johnny Dee Adair in 1951. Although her husband passed years before her she loved him immeasurably up until the end.
In her younger years Gerry enjoyed riding in her Volkswagen Bug around, going to the movies and roller skating with her friends. Her more recent years consisted of spending majority of her time with her grandchildren and her pets. Gerry was best known for her sense of humor, positivity, spunk and ability to love and care for those she even just met. Most all in her life refer to her as “Gram”. Gerry is survived by her one son Brian “Keith” Adair of Derry, N.H.; one brother, John “Jack” O’Leary of Andover, Mass.; two grandchildren, Brendan Adair of Phoenix, A.Z., and Fallon Adair of Derry, N.H.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 1400 Broadway Rd, Dracut. A funeral Mass for Mrs Adair will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 am at St. Francis Church in Dracut, burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
