Lewis F. Gosselin, 54, of Old Town, FL passed away unexpectedly at sea on Monday, August 24, 2020. He was husband of Gail (Martin) Gosselin.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Robert E. Gosselin, Sr. and Barbara (Gifford) Gosselin, he grew up in Dartmouth prior to living in Florida for the last 13 years. Mr. Gosselin was a commercial fisherman on various vessels and was also an equine dentist. A hard worker, who was very competitive in everything he did, he competed as a horse barrel racer, trained horses and loved fast cars.
Including his wife, survivors include 4 step-daughters: Wendi Reynolds and her husband Jonathan of New Bedford, Jodi Gillis and her husband Tom of Old Town, FL, Nicki Durr and her husband Doug of Mattapoisett and Misti Carreiro and her husband Mike of Madison, ME; 2 sisters: Sharon Bentley of Mattapoisett and Sandra Gosselin of Dartmouth; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was brother of the late Robert E. Gosselin, Jr., Steven Gosselin and Cheryl White.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at the Potter Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Monday 5 - 8 P.M.
Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Dartmouth.
