Irene (Landers) Simard, age 96, passed away in East Longmeadow. She was born in Chicopee, a daughter of the late William and Irene (St Marie) Landers. Irene worked as an administrative assistant for the Chicopee School Department for many years before she retired. She was a communicant of Mary Mother of Hope Parish. She is predeceased by her husband Robert L. Simard, who passed away in 2013. She is survived by her son David Simard and his wife JoDee of Cummington and one daughter Gail Stathis and her husband Steve of Longmeadow. She also leaves her sister Margaret Sieracki of South Hadley and four beloved grandchildren, Diana Simard, Simon Simard, Tia Stathis and Luke Stathis. All services will be private. Burial will take place in the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Thomas J.
