BUXTON- Arthur C. Follis, 52 years old, passed away on August 23rd. Art was always busy working on projects in his yard. He was skilled with his hands and enjoyed repairing engines on his vehicles and boats. In recent years, he started a vegetable garden and spent much time tending to it and socializing with friends and neighbors. He was always passionate about fishing. He truly enjoyed boating in Casco Bay and catching fish or pulling lobsters from the sea. He also helped organize several Fishing Derbies over the years as well. Because of love of dogs, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland in his honor.
Art was pre-deceased by his mother, Leah F. Follis of Scarborough, survived by his father, Arthur J. Follis of Acton, his sister and brother-in-law, Leah and John Kane of Scarborough. Art will be sadly missed by all that knew him. There will be a celebration of Art’s life at a future date.
