Our beloved husband, father, grand-father and great-grandfather, David Arthur Williamson of Ventura, California lost his courageous battle with cancer on August 2, 2020, two weeks before his 73rd birthday. He was born in Los Angeles, California on August 17, 1947 to Roger Arthur Williamson and Marilyn Jean (Rice) Williamson. Dave graduated from Lawndale High School in 1965. He was baptized on August 18, 1967 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and actively served in the Riverview Ventura Congregation as a Ministerial Servant faithfully until his passing.
Dave is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary Williamson of Ventura and their 7 children, 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Daughter Cindy McAllister and spouse Hugh of Ventura, and their children Kyle and Kaitlyn McAllister, daughter Debra Brunette of Ventura and children Zachary, Justine and Jordan Brunette, daughter Sarah Beck of Ventura and her
children, Lexi Beck-Gray and Austin Beck and his son, great grandchild Jameson Beck, daughter Lanna Jean (Williamson) Floridia and spouse David and their daughter, Fabiana Floridia of Anaheim Hills. Son Jeremy Williamson of Ventura and his children Brendan and Taylor Williamson,son Douglas Williamson and spouse Tien Tien of Ventura, son Brett Williamson and children Savannah and Brett, Jr. of Ventura.
He is also survived by his sister Deanna (Williamson) Smith and spouse of San Marcos, brother Darryl Williamson and spouse Irene of Fresno, brother Dean Williamson of Fresno and sister-in-law Flora Williamson of Vista, CA. Sister in-law Linda Templeton and spouse Michael of Torrance, brother-in-law Alan Gizzi and spouse Joy of Laguna Woods, CA. And numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary and her family wish to express their love and gratitude to the many, many dear friends sho have supported them and encourage them with multitudes of messages, phone calls, cards and flowers and practical help that they provided. The love and admiration they expressed for Dave and his friendly, warm personality was appreciated beyond words. Dave was the ultimate host, hard-working family man and above all, a spiritual man. It is impossible to express in words how much he will be missed. We will love him forever in the New World to come.
