Edward J. Day, Jr., 69 of Manchester, NH died August 7, 2020 at his residence. Edward was born in Boston, MA on April 15, 1951, a son of the late Edward Day, Sr. and Helen (Connor) Day. He had served honorably with the US Navy and was a disabled veteran.
After retiring from the military Edward worked for Meggitt NH and Sanmina Corporation.
He is survived by two sisters, Cynthia McCann and her husband Frank of Londonderry, NH, and Diane Parker of Watertown, MA, one brother, Donald Day, his nieces and nephews, Patricia Fennell, Frank McCann, Jr., Timothy McCann, Thomas Parker, and James Parker. He also leaves several grandnieces and grandnephews.
There are no calling hours. Edward will receive a full military burial at sea. Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Edward’s name to Woundedwarriorproject.org or to any homeless veteran’s shelter.
