Anthony “Tony” J. Andrade, Jr., 77, of Early, TX passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020 at Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland, TX. He was the husband of Betty J. (Holamon) Andrade.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Anthony J. Andrade, Sr. and Anna (Ponte) Andrade, he was a longtime resident of the Greater New Bedford area before settling in Early, TX. A proud patriot, having served his country in the United States Army, he worked as a lineman for Commonwealth Electric until retirement. An avid handyman and mechanic, he enjoyed tinkering and helping others through construction, restoration, and repair.
Including his wife, survivors include a son: Gregg A. Andrade and his wife Maria of Westport; a son Joel B. Andrade of Westport; a daughter Julie R. Manley and her husband Sam of Westport; a daughter Jessica T. Maluch and her husband Thilo of Dubai, UAE; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of Elizabeth “Betty” Wozniak and Carlos Andrade; and of the late Priscilla A. Fitzgerald, Margaret Entwistle, and Anne C. Mickool.
Memorial visitation to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held at the home of Julie Manley, 267 Horseneck Road, Westport on Saturday, September 19th from 1-4pm. Virus precautions expected.
Interment will be private.
