Carol A. (Guittarr) Connors, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was 73 years of age.
Carol was born in Somerville on May 20, 1947, a daughter of the late retired Boston Police Officer Charles F. Guittarr and Mary F. (Ridings) Guittarr. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1965. Carol worked as an Office Clerk for the Boston Fire Department and retired in 2015 following 15 years of dedicated employment to the City of Boston. She was a member of the Old Charlestown Schoolgirls Association and loved traveling to Aruba.
Carol is the beloved wife of the late James L. Connors Jr. She is the devoted mother of James L. "Jamie" Connors III and Jeff Connors and his wife Eveline. She is the loving Nana of Jonathan Connors. She is the beloved sister of Joanne Tucker and her husband Sonny, Chuck Guittarr and his wife Mary Ellen and Kenny Guittarr. She is the beloved niece of Gerry Ridings and retired Boston Firefighter Ronnie Ridings. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Carol's Funeral on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 9 A.M. from the Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. (FACIAL COVERINGS ARE REQUIRED INSIDE THE FUNERAL HOME AND CHURCH). Her burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Her visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 5 to 7 P.M. in the funeral home.
