Harold Braxton Wilson, age 84, of Chase City, Virginia passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020. He was born October 24, 1935 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia and was the son of the late Jim Bailey Wilson and the late Geneva Reamey Wilson.
He was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church in Chase City. Harold retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation as a Road Foreman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Wilson.
Harold is survived by his wife, Joan Lenhart Wilson; two daughters, Wanda Wilson Dixon (Tommie) of Chase City and Tammy Wilson Johnson (Mark) of Chase City; one son, James “Jim” Wilson” (Michelle) of Chase City; two grandsons, Joshua James Wilson (Katherine) and J.T. Johnson IV (Corinna); and four great-grandchildren, Johnny Johnson, Hannah Johnson, Christopher Johnson, and Madison Johnson. He is also survived by his brother, Paul Wilson (Tonya) of Gaffney, SC; sister, Frances Hall (John) of South Boston, VA; numerous nieces and nephews; best friend, Robert Lee Tucker; and all of his friends in the “Old Goat’s Club.”
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery, 25619 Highway 49, Chase City, VA 23924.
