Mario Sabatini, 65, of Spencer Road, Greenville, died Friday, August 14, 2020 at Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the beloved husband of Sylvia (DiIorio) Sabatini. They had been married since 1984.
Born in Virtebo, Italy, he was a son of the late Gino and Ada (Butteri) Sabatini. Mario had served in the Italian Army and played soccer while living in Italy.
Mario was a Porter at Stop & Shop in Greenville. He had previously worked for the Smithfield School Department. Mario was a volunteer for the St. Philip Church, St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his brothers; Marco and Maurizio Sabatini both of Italy, his brother in law, John DiIorio of Johnston, his nephew and niece: Jonathan and Kelly DiIorio of Cranston, and his great nieces and nephews: Aiden, Keira, Rhianne and Phillip DiIorio. He was the brother of the late Marcello, Massimo and Paola Sabatini.
His Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday at 11am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Visitation and burial will be private. Please omit flowers.
