Obituary

WORCESTER: John C. "Zeke" McInnis, 85, of 227 Bailey Rd., Holden, formerly of Worcester, died on Sunday, February 26, 2006 in Autumn Village, after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 55 years, Mary A. (Booth) McInnis; two sons Edward McInnis of Fountain Hills, AZ, Raymond McInnis and his wife Anne of Greenville, NH; two daughters, Patricia McInnis of Worcester, Debra A. Miller and her husband Robert of Holden; a sister, Rita Peterson and her husband Robert of West Boylston; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A son, Ernest McInnis, a brother William McInnis, and three sisters, Loretta Barrett, Josephine Hurley and Clara Cook, all predeceased him.
John was born and raised in Worcester, son of the late John C. and Mary J. (Trainor) McInnis. He lived here most of his life and was an Army Veteran of World War II.
He worked 25 years as a machine operator at Worcester Pressed Steel. He later worked as a shipper at Wright Line until retiring in 1985. He was an avid baseball fan.
CALLING HOURS will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 1, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St., followed by a FUNERAL SERVICE at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. After cremation, burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
The family suggests donations in John's memory be made to the resident's activities fund at Autumn Village, 25 Oriol Dr., Worcester, MA 01605.
