Jeanne M. (Lopez) Devlin of Stoneham, born August 6, 1936, passed away on
August 5, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Daniel M. Devlin of Winchester, devoted
mother of Dean Devlin and his wife Leslie (Arnold) Devlin of Palm Beach
Gardens, Florida and Denise (Devlin) Smith and former spouse Ken Smith of
Tewksbury. Sister of Carole Brousseau and Sister-in-law of Al (Sonny) Brousseau, Rita(Devlin) O’Neil, and the late William O’Neil, Kathleen (Devlin) Gunnery and
Austin Gunnery. Adoring Nana of Ann, Daniel, Madeline, Shannon and Andrew.
Great Grandmother to Kaleigh and Nora. Also survived by many nieces and
nephews; Dale, Darlene and Dee Brousseau. Mark (deceased), David, Beth, Jeff
O’Neil with their respective spouses and children. Also survived by many
longtime and local friends. Jeanne always loved socializing and remembered
everyone’s name of everyone she ever met.
Jeanne graduated from Medford High School, Class of 1954, and Katharine Gibbs
School of Boston in 1955. She held many Executive Assistant positions
supporting corporate staff in her 43 years in the work force including
Compugraphic/Agfa in Wilmington for 13 years and retiring after 10 years from
Addison Wesley Publishing Company in Reading.
She was a devoted wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt and friend to many. Her
happiness was time spent with all of them, but especially with her grandchildren,
her “Princes, Princesses and Shining Star”, she loved them “more than life”. In
earlier years, Jeanne enjoyed cooking for large groups with her famous chicken
wings, lasagna and meatballs. Until her death she enjoyed writing poems for all
family occasions, watching sports like golf and the New England Patriots, playing
board and card games.
A Celebration of Jeanne’s life will be held at a later date. She will be buried in
Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Memorial Contributions may be made to Mystic
