Obituary

William “Bill” Paulk, 88, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, August 10, 2020, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.

Memorial services will be held 6 PM, Thursday, August 13, 2020, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Josh Bowles and the Rev. Clayton Dowd officiating.

Mr. Paulk was born October 4, 1931, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Edwin & Minnie Mae Tyson Paulk. He attended school in Lax and played sports. Mr. Paulk retired as Chief Master Sergeant with 20 years of honorable service in the United States Air Force. He played fast pitch softball while in the military. He later retired as plant manager for Coachmen Industries. Mr. Paulk enjoyed fishing and was an active member of the Ocilla Church of God.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Geneiavee Paulk of Fitzgerald; a daughter, Linda “Lin” D. Rader & her husband Ken of Maryville, Tennessee; a son, Kevin Paulk of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Chad & Keri Eason of Valdosta and Garrett L. & Amanda Eason of Maryville, Tennessee; great-grandchildren: Gracie Eason, Jolene Eason and Caleb Eason; a brother, Jerry Paulk of Alapaha and two sisters: Pat Smith & James of Fitzgerald and Shirley Folds of Fitzgerald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters: Dot Roush, Margaret Howell and Emily Howell; and two brothers: Thurman Paulk and Eli Paulk.
