Nancy Jo (Denny) Asbury, 62, of Anderson died on August 8, 2020, at her residence.
She was born, December 21, 1957, the daughter of Beverly T. Denny.
She worked as Director of Finance at Anderson Housing Authority for 34 years before retiring in 2014. Nancy loved dogs including her own Fable and granddogs, Izzy and Barkley. She loved her family and friends including her closest friends, Brenda (Brundage) Hill and Bob Asbury. She loved watching sports and rooting for the Colts. Nancy was a loving, caring, kind-hearted, devoted mother with a great sense of humor and always willing to help those in need. She will be missed very dearly by all those who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Matt (Sierra) Asbury; sister, Cindy Mummert; her nephews and their families, Joseph (Hannah) Mummert and their three daughters, Liona, Lucia and Linley; Jacob (Alicia) Mummert and their son, Jack.
Nancy was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Denny and her brother, Jerry Denny, and grandparents, Florence and Vance Alexander.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 14, at East Maplewood Cemetery with Gary Hill officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Madison County Humane Society.
