Virginia (Sergent) Shank, 93, of Anderson, died at home on Saturday, August 8, 2020 following an extended illness.
She was born on July 17, 1927 in Jonesville, VA, the daughter of Melvin and Grace Sergent. She was self employed with rental properties and worked a brief time at Delco Remy.
She is survived by four children; Larry J. (Cindi) James, Diana (Jeff) Harmon, Dennis (Bonnie) Shank, Ruthanne (Paul) Gammon; 6 grandchildren; Bryan (Nikkie) James, Leslie (Brandon) Muir, Brandy (Rob) Ellis, Candise Shank, Kaleigh Gilliam , Nathan Gilliam, and many great and great great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Grover James and Clifford Shank and 4 sisters, and a grandson, Nicholas Gilliam.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service . Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service.
