Frederick David Prendergast, 75, Of Newton, MA, left this earth much too soon on August 2, 2020. He leaves behind his adoring wife of 40 years, Elizabeth Clement, whom he cherished and greatly admired. He will forever remain in her heart, providing her strength, courage and wisdom.
He leaves behind dear friends who know him to be gentle yet spirited, brilliant yet unassuming, thoughtful yet playful and an ardent enthusiast for live theatre.
He was a uniquely gifted man, who dedicated his life as a psychotherapist to helping patients make changes that significantly altered the course of their lives. He did so with his extraordinary compassion, his outstanding intellect and his ever present wit. He clearly loved his work and found joy in the successes of his patients. David leaves a legacy for which his patients are deeply grateful.
His loss is felt deeply by all those whose lives have been enriched in substantial ways by the privilege of knowing David. His words, his kindness, and his commitment to the possibility of change will live on forever.
Rest In Peace, David.
