Mary A. (Terasewicz) McIntyre, 89, of Mansfield died on Wednesday March 1,2006 at The Sturdy memorial Hospital in Attleboro ,MA She was the beloved wife of the late Peter J. McIntyre who died on June 5, 1980.
Born in Boston, MA on April 26, 1916 she was a loving daughter of the late William and Annie (Skermel) Terasewicz.
She was educated in Chelsea schools. Mary was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield and was a former communicant of St. Matthew’s Church in Dorchester. She enjoyed trips to Foxwoods, but most especially, she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her devoted children Catherine A. Cottuli and her husband Carl of Mansfield, Mary L. Pointer and her husband James of Norton and Ann Marie Yates and her husband William of West Barnstable. Her cherished grandchildren Catherine O’Connor of North Attleboro, Carl Cottuli and Lisa Henry both of Franklin, James Callinan of Norton, Peter Callinan of Quincy, Mary Ann Wolak of Georgia, Christine Gallagher of Sandwich, Michael Connolly of Franklin and Kevin Connolly of Plymouth Also survived by her loving 20 great grandchildren as well as her many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Sophie Comella, Joseph Terasewicz, Stanley Terasewicz and Arthur Terasewicz.
Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday March 4th at 1:00 P.M. from The Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North main St. Mansfield followed by a mass of Christian burial celebrated at 2:00 P.M. in St. Mary’s Church 330 Pratt St.(Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow in The Spring Brook Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday March 3rd from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Mary’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital P.O. Box 1000 Dept 300 Memphis, TN 38148-0552.
