CHICOPEE – Jayne M. (Griffin) Curran, 75, of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Tuesday, August 4, 2020. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Holyoke on June 26, 1945, the beloved daughter of the late J. Jerome and Alice M. (Whitkop) Griffin. She was raised in Holyoke, graduated from Holyoke High School and had moved to Chicopee in 1970 where she lived the remainder of her life. She was employed as a seamstress at Sentry Uniform in Chicopee and had also worked at Hano Business Forms in Holyoke and Springfield. She was a communicant of Saint Anne Church in Chicopee. During her leisure time, she enjoyed tending to her garden. She also enjoyed soaking up the sun and spending time at Misquamicut Beach in Westerly, Rhode Island. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and her many friends. She leaves her beloved husband and best friend, Jerome F. Curran. They were married on July 11, 1970 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Holyoke and were blessed with over 50 years of happiness together. She also leaves her two loving children, Kelley A. Leclerc of Wilbraham and Daniel J. Curran of Springfield; her cherished granddaughter, Kailey E. Leclerc of Wilbraham; and her extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving son-in-law, Ernest L. Leclerc who was Called Home on September 17, 2003. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Anne Church, 30 College Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (please note that masks are required at the Church and cemetery, social distancing must be observed and Church capacity is limited to 40% per state guidelines). Her Burial will follow the Mass at Saint Jerome Cemetery, 1666 Northampton Street, Holyoke, MA 01040.
