Lauren E. Kacenski, age 30, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020 after losing her ongoing battle with addiction. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a beautiful, caring, loving young woman. She loved animals and especially the family dog Rosie, whom she would take in the pool for a swim or a walk around the neighborhood. Lauren grew up in and was educated on the South Hadley School system. She was a 2008 graduate of South Hadley High School. She was currently enrolled at Holyoke Community College for the X-Ray tech program. She was a waitress for many years and worked at Springfield Country Club, Camanito Steak House and The Colony Club. Lauren leaves behind her most precious gift of all, her beautiful baby boy Connor or “Bubby” as she called him. He was the love of her life. She adored him more than anything and loved spending time with him whether it was golfing in the back yard, swimming, a hike in the woods or going to McCrays for ice cream. She loved day trips with her family to Hampton Beach. She was passionate about makeup and was always looking for new products to try or tutorials about the latest techniques. She is survived by her parents, Sandra and Bernard Kacenski of South Hadley, her boyfriend of 4 years, Kyle Griffith of Springfield, his daughter Ryan whom Lauren loved spending time with doing crafts, hair styles or face masks. Kyle's mom, Deb Lemke Griffith, also of Springfield. Lauren also leaves behind several aunts, uncles and cousins whom she had a special place in her heart for. All services are private. Donations may be made in Lauren’s memory to Dakin Humane Society, 17 Union St, Springfield, MA 01105. The Grise Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
