Jamia D. Kelly, a long-time Provincetown resident, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Seashore Point in Provincetown. She was 74.
Born in New Albany, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late David Willard Rowe and Florence Lucille [Holden] Rowe. In Provincetown, she was an enthusiast artist of the local art scene, painting in a variety of mediums, mostly acrylic. She was an artist who paid special attention to the feeing she evoked in her work.
Jamia devoted her time to equality, love, peace, and expression of self. Her love of life was contagious.
She is survived by her son, Aaron Kelly of Largo, Florida.
A celebration of Jamia’s life will be held at Provincetown Cemetery at 9:00 am, Friday July 24th. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, masks and social distancing are required of those wishing to attend.
