Kelley Hamby, 49, of Tifton, Georgia, died Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 10 AM, Saturday, July 25, 2020, at Big Creek Cemetery in Irwin County, Georgia, with the Rev. Dr. Lloyd Stembridge officiating.
Ms. Hamby was born January 25, 1971, in Americus, Georgia to Jerry Hamby and the late Sharon Howell “Sherry” Mobley. She was a 1989 graduate of Irwin County High School and earned her nursing degree from East Central Technical College. She once worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Dr. Reese in Fitzgerald. Kelley enjoyed being outdoors and loved to fish. She enjoyed taking trips to Tennessee to visit with her daughter Kelsey as well as their spur-of-the-moment beach trips.
She is survived by her daughters: Lacey (Kurt) Brown of Fitzgerald and Kelsey (Kayla) Gentry of Kingston, Tennessee; a grandson, Brayden Brown; her father, Jerry (Lynne) Hamby of Tifton; step-father, Jimmy Mobley of Irwin County; and a sister, Kristy (Shane) Johnson of Irwinville. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Howell “Sherry” Mobley.
