Obituary

Angelo D'Aguanno of Medford passed away Saturday morning at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 88.

Born and raised in Cassino, Italy, he was the son of the late Gaetano and Teresa (Miele) D'Aguanno. Angelo knew his wife from childhood (74 years) and the couple married and came to the United States, settled in Medford, where they raised their family. Angelo always had a love for animals, having owned horses as a young man in Italy. Here he raised rabbits, pigeons in addition to keeping a large garden, making wine every season and picking mushrooms in the local woods. Always working hard to provide for his family, he was a member of Local 22 and worked in some of the largest construction projects in greater-Boston. Throughout his long career he developed a reputation as being the best cement finisher. Angelo loved to watch soccer, dance, sing and spend time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Angelo leaves behind his beloved wife of 57 years, Elisa (DelGreco) D'Aguanno. He was the devoted father of Theresa Raccuia and her husband Philip of Saugus, and Franco D'Aguanno of Medford. He was a loving grandfather to Philip Jr, Nicholas and Stephanie. He is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford Friday, July 24th from 9 to 11 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 11:30 AM.
