Thomas F. Connolly, born February 27, 1947 passed away unexpectedly at Boston Medical Center, Sunday, July 12th, 2020.
Born in South Boston, Tom was the beloved son of the late Thomas and Margaret (Markarian) Connolly. He is also survived by his brothers Michael Connolly, Dorchester, MA; his sister Mary Connolly, Groton, CT; Daniel Connolly and his wife Desiree Connolly, Hull, MA; Kenneth Connolly, South Boston, MA; and devoted brother of (late) David Connolly, Nantucket, MA as well as several nieces and nephews and many cousins.
Tom graduated from South Boston High School in 1965. Soon after high school he went on and joined the Army where he served in Germany as Lance Corporal. He was a lifelong resident of South Boston and enjoyed walks at Castle Island and frequented many local restaurants and pubs. He enjoyed day trips at Cape Cod. He was also a passionate fan of the Red Sox and Patriots. He loved oldies music of the early 50’s and 60’s and especially Doo-wop era.
The perfect older brother who was always there for you. He will be sadly missed. Interment services will be private.
