Gerald F. Ferrara, Sr.

Gerald F. Ferrara, Sr., of Quincy, formerly of South Boston, died peacefully on July 19, 2020.
He was 78. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Luca and Beatrice (Belanger) Ferrara.

Gerry was the loving father of the late Gerald Ferrara, Jr. and Thomas Ferrara and his fiancée Julie and the beloved grandfather of Ava Connolly and Devin Ferrara.

He is also survived by his brother, Bernard Ferrara, his sister Elaine Askew and her husband Robert, his nephew Brian Askew, his niece Kristen Askew, all of South Boston, several great-nephews, and his dear friend, Anna Deren.

Gerry always greeted you with a broad smile and had a great laugh. He appreciated good food and good times. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, hanging out on O St., going to Castle Island, and watching the Red Sox.
He had several professions in his lifetime, but found helping others find sobriety to be the most satisfying. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be private.
