Lucille Stone Barnes, 86, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at Southern Oaks Personal Care in Tifton. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Barnes at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2020, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Ronnie Howell will officiate.
Mrs. Barnes’ grandsons, Mike Hall, Brad Hall, Al Greer, Michael Barnes, Shaun Barnes and Clay Willis will serve as pallbearers.
Born September 22, 1933 in Berrien County, Mrs. Barnes was the daughter of the late Robert M. Stone and Mary Ellen McMillan Stone. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry “Harold Barnes, Sr.”; a daughter, Cheryl Dobbins Moseley; an infant son, Henry Harold Barnes, Jr.; one brother; and two sisters. She retired from J. P. Stevens and Prestolite Wire. She was a member of Mount Calvary United Methodist Church in Tifton and she was a member of the Methodist Kitchen Band.
Mrs. Barnes is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Debora and Carl Hall of Tift County; one son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Shann Harkins Barnes of Gainesville, Georgia; six grandchildren and their spouses, Mike and Stacie Hall, Michelle Hall Greer and husband Al, Brad and Carrie Hall, Amanda Dobbins Willis and husband Clay, Michael and Dorothy Barnes and Shaun and Holly Barnes; and four great-grandchildren, Dannie Ann Hall, Shelby Greer, Bowman “Bo” Kealous Hall and Ace Barnes.
