Thomas “Tommy” Etheridge Cook, 78, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A private family graveside service will be held for Mr. Cook on Friday, July 17, 2020, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest. The Rev. Dwayne Franks will officiate.
Born December 10, 1941 in Tift County, Mr. Cook was the son of the late James Cook and Annie Maude Walker Cook. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Jacqueline Carol West Cook; and one sister, Ann Brewer. He retired from Tifton Aluminum Company and worked at the Georgia Agrirama. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Cook is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Joshua J. Cook and Michael J. and Fran Cook, all of Tifton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Gail Cook of Ty Ty and Wayne and Nancy Cook of Tifton; and his cat, Dixie.
