Richard W. Coleman (Ritchie), age 56 of South Boston, passed away on July 6, 2020 after a long battle with heart disease.
He was born in South Boston on May 10, 1964. Beloved son of Winifred (Kennedy) Coleman. Beloved brother of Anne Kennedy of Randolph, Nina Coleman of Quincy, P.J. Coleman & his wife Chrissy of Maine, Maryellen Walsh & her husband Billy of Middleboro and John Coleman & his wife Nicole of South Carolina. He is survived by his children Shane, Christopher, Amy, Justin, Brendan, Taylor and Richie, his Aunty Cathy as well as several nieces, nephews & cousins. He was predeceased in death by his beloved brother Gene and his grandparents Patrick & Mary (Gibbons) Kennedy.
He worked as a roofer and gutter cleaner for 20 years with one of his lifelong friends Joe. He had an amazing sense of humor and quick wit, he loved to give people a hard time to brighten their day.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, July 15th from 3 to 6 PM at the Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester Street in South Boston. Interment services will be private.
