DAYTON & So. PARIS- Jeffrey E. Meserve, age 52, passed away on July 8, 2020 at Maine Medical Center.
He was born in Sanford on Dec. 17, 1967, a son of Clement and Merrilee (Stearns) Meserve.
He graduated from Thornton Academy and went on to earn two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Maine in Orono.
Jeff loved his family and friends very much and he enjoyed spending time with them; camping, travelling, fishing, woodworking, making maple syrup and just chatting. He will always be remembered as a kindhearted man with a great sense of humor who loved to help others and give folks great big hugs. He looked forward to the yearly reunions with many when they came to get their Christmas tree at, family owned, Boiling Spring Tree Farm, in Dayton.
Jeff’s relationship with God was of utmost importance to him and, although he hoped to return to his earthly home, he was able to share the peace he had in his heart before his surgery. Jeff’s wife was by his side and that peace that passes all understanding filled the room as he went on to live eternally with his Father in Heaven.
Through his life, Jeffrey has worked as a forester. He owned and operated Oversett Forest Management. He has worked with numerous small and large landowners in the states of Maine and New Hampshire, including the Passamaquoddy tribal lands across the state of Maine. The relationships with his clients were highly cherished and he thought of many of them as great friends.
Jeff often shared his fond memories of his younger years growing up in Dayton with his cousins and friends as well as working on his friends’ dairy farm, Harris Farm and landscaping for Pierson Nursery, both in Dayton.
Jeffrey is survived by his beloved wife Julie (Howe) Meserve; children- Arianna Meserve of South Paris and Noah Meserve of South Paris; his parents, of Dayton; a brother- Bradley Meserve, of Dayton; many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, a niece and nephews.
