BALDWIN- Paul “Scott” Burnell went to be with the Lord peacefully on July 6th, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Portland, Maine on July 22nd, 1951, the eldest son of Paul G. and Aline “Vaneta” (Furman) Burnell. He grew up in Steep Falls and was a graduate of Bonney Eagle High School.
Scott was retired from Steep Falls Building Supply, where he worked for many years. He loved visiting and bantering with his customers.
Scott was deeply rooted in family, and he loved having his family around him. He also enjoyed cooking, history, reading, the occasional debate, and dotting on his cats.
Scott is survived by his wife of 49 years, Beth (Honan) Burnell, his daughter Tracy, and husband Clay, his son Christopher, and wife Julie, all of West Baldwin, his brothers Peter and wife Beverly, Jerry and wife Tricia, Jeffrey and wife Ellen. Six grandchildren: Megan, Hannah, Phillip, Brady, Star and TJ. Five great-grandchildren: Abel, Chaiann, Jaden, Divinity, and Killian, and many extended family members.
Scott was a man of deep faith, who was at peace with going home to his Father in Heaven.
Services will be held at a later date.
