Obituary

Maurice A. Hurley, 94, of New Bedford died February 23, 2006 at home peacefully.
He was the husband of Millicent K. (McGrath) Hurley.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Cornelius F. and Bridget A. (Duggan) Hurley, he lived in Philadelphia in the 1930's and lived in New Bedford most of his life.
Mr. Hurley was the proprietor of Maurice A. Hurley Photo Engraver for many years until his retirement. From 1936 to 1947, he was a photo engraver for the Philadelphia Inquirer.
He was a graduate of Holy Family High School, class of 1929. Mr. Hurley served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Patrick J. Hurley of South Boston; 3 daughters, Elizabeth A. Hurley, and her husband John F., and Rosamond H. Sullivan, and her husband Thomas G., all of Needham and Katherine B. Conlon, and her husband Thomas D., of Fall River; 6 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Cornelius Hurley, Jr., Joseph Hurley and Edward Hurley.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Monday, February 27th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours Sunday, February 26th from 4-8 PM.
Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
