In Taunton, Daniel Smith, Age 71, passed away on July 2, 2020 following a lengthy illness. He was born in South Boston, the son of the late Henry V. & Mary (Boylin) Smith. Daniel was educated in Abington schools. He was worked as a self employed carpenter. Daniel had been a resident of Easton for the past 15 years and was formerly of Abington and South Boston. Daniel served his country honorably during the Vietnam War while in the U.S. Navy. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the time spent with family. He leaves his daughters, Tina Smith, Nancy Shoughrow of Taunton and Kimberly Meuse of ME. and his late son Daniel Smith Jr. of Easton. He also leaves his five grandchildren and was one of seven brothers. Funeral services are private at the request of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton.
