WORCESTER- Marion V. (Papazian) Ogasapian died Tuesday, February 14th at the Jewish Healthcare Center.
Her husband, Karekin Ogasapian, died in 1996 after 60 years of marriage. Her son, John K. Ogasapian, died last July. She is survived by her daughter Joan Gold, wife of Jay Gold of Worcester; daughter-in-law Nancy Ogasapian of Pepperell; grandchildren Joshua Gold of Baltimore, Lisa (Ogasapian) Ellrott of Pepperell, Rebecca Gold and Miriam Gold of Brooklyn; and great-grandchildren Nolan and Hollis Ellrott; nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister Gladys Bogosian and brother Martin Papazian.
Marion was born in Worcester on July 31, 1906 to Charles and Bessie (Nahigian) Papazian. She was a graduate of North High School and worked for many years at the Worcester County Institution for Savings Bank. She was a member of the Armenian Church of the Martyrs.
A private service will be held in her honor. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury St., Worcester, MA 01609; the Armenian Church of the Martyrs, 22 Ormond St., Worcester, MA 01609; or a charity of one’s choice.
